Today was a rainy day. I love warm rainy summer days. When the rain comes down as hard as it did today, little puddles tend to form on stepping stones leading up the pool in our back yard. My kiddos love to jump in puddles and when the rain stopped for a brief period, we all went out and the girls had a blast.
As much fun as it was for them to run and jump in the puddles, photos of it turned out kind of dreary because the sky was covered in dark clouds making everything look dark in a not so pretty way. To brighten up the overall look of the photo of the day, I decided to add vintage’ish look to it in Photoshop by adding light leaks with Nik software Analog Efex plug-in, using the channel mixer to change the tonality of reds greens and blues, and adding lens flare. Not sure exactly how successful I actually made it look like a vintage photo, but I do like the end result.
