Barbie dolls are something I never thought my girls would get to play with because you could not make me get a Barbie for them even if you paid me large sums of money; but it just so happens that my parents had gotten them each one of these despicable representations of a female body and there really wasn’t much I could have done to prevent it. So, the girls spent a large part of today playing with the Barbies, dressing them, feeding them, combing their hair. I gotta admit, they had fun, and, hopefully, as young as they are, it won’t damage their view of what a female body should look like. Apparently the Barbies had fun also, because this is how I found them after playtime was over.
