My oldest one’s birthday is coming up and I went through my photos of her from the past year to pick one to show to her friends at school during the Montessori birthday celebration. During the celebration I am expected to show one photo of each of her years of life and tell something about one of the more important aspects from each year to her friends. I haven’t even narrowed down the top contenders yet, but I came across this photo of her that I took on her birthday last year. It was sort of a half-planned shoot and she was so amazingly patient throughout it all. I got several nice images of her that day, but there is something about this one that stood out for me. Not sure what it is but she looks a bit like an old wise soul here. Wise beyond her years.
