Shells in My Father’s Hand

This is another photo from the beach. My dad was collecting shells with my oldest and he came over to show them to me. He had his hand so perfectly cupped around the shells and the sunlight fell on them just right. It was one of those moments when I knew exactly what I was going to do with the image already before I pressed the shutter. This is what my camera sensor saw at the time I captured the image:
