I’ve been pretty seriously neglecting my blog in the past week or so. The teacher headshot/ kindergarten graduate shoot that I did for my kids’ school took way more time from planning to completion than I imagined. Partially because I went back over and over day after day to fix new things that I discovered by staring at each image too long that I was not happy with. I’m almost done with it all now – only have two teachers and a few group shots left to edit, but since I didn’t want to neglect my blog anymore, I decided to post one of the headshots that I took about a week ago here today.
This photograph is of the executive director of the school and I am really quite proud of it. She is a beautiful person, inside and out, and I hope that I was able to capture that on camera. She was quite happy with the photo of herself and gave me permission to post it here. So here’s my first try at taking professional headshots. Or should I say armature headsots of professionals, considering that I’m not really a professional photographer? Either way, she was super easy to work with and I’m grateful for having had the opportunity to do this.
