My cousins played a significant role in my life growing up. With both my mother and father having four siblings and more or less each of them having on the average two children, I had a lot of cousins and I was pretty close to quite a few of them. My kids only have three cousins in total, and, sadly, one of them lives across the Atlantic and the other two, although only 50 minute drive away, have busy enough lives that we get to see them only a few times each year. Yesterday was one of those times. They always seem to have a lot of fun together despite not seeing each other very often and it warms my heart.
I took this photo of the three of them – my younger daughter was busy digging for crystals in another room and my baby boy was downstairs playing with grandma – yesterday in the cousins’ bedroom. I wish there weren’t all this background clutter on the image. it makes it look like a snapshot; which, of course, it was in a way. But their poses are so cute that I consider it a keeper anyway.
