Graduation Day

My oldest daughter graduated Kindergarten last week. I know, it’s just Kindergarten – such a small thing in the grand scheme of things – but it was a huge thing for her. She’ll be leaving the lovely small Montessori school that she’s attended for the past three years, the wonderful nurturing environment and all her friends and teachers that she loves. In late August she’ll start in public school, she’ll be going on the big yellow school bus, hopefully make lots of new friends, and hopefully the public school environment and way of teaching will not kill her love for learning. I’m worried about that, a lot.

I took a few photos of both of my girls outside right before we headed for my oldest one’s graduation celebration at school that night. They both looked adorable in the dresses that my sister designed and sewed for them. I even managed to convince them to be on a photo together without too many complaints. I’m not sure if the below are the best photos from that night, but they’re the ones I’ve gotten to so far.
