A Girl and a Rose – Double Exposure

I’m not quite sure whether I love this image or dislike it but something about it is captivating me. It didn’t quite turn out the way I imagined – I sort of imagined my daughter’s face to be more prominent and the rose somehow bigger – but maybe it’s better this way, or maybe not at all. I guess I still have a long way to go before I learn how to plan and shoot deliberate double exposures well.

(Mamiya RZ67, 110mm lens, Ilford Pan F Plus, developed in Ilford DD-x for 6 minutes. Toned in Photoshop)
