Lighting Test for Halloween Composite

I decided to do a composite image of my kids wearing their Halloween costumes this year. I purchased a “fantasy” background image and had to set up the lights in my studio to take photos of my kids for the composite in a way that would make the final image make sense lighting-wise. The whole process involved quite a few test shots before I felt comfortable dressing the kids up for their big shot. Most of the test shots are kind of random – my kiddos were kind enough to stand there for the test shots, but they were not really posing in a way that would result in a good image. But then there was this one gem, a test shot that is totally worthy of being more than just a test shot.
